OCMHA Terms for Registration

Please read these terms which apply to all participants in Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey Association (OCMHA) programs.

Terms of Registration with Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey

By registering with the Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey Association (OCMHA), you agree that you and the player(s) that you are registering will be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1.     All players must meet OCMHA and Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) eligibility requirements for the program in which they are participating.

2.     The OCMHA works to ensure a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all participants.  Individuals attending OCMHA programs are bound by the District B and HEO Codes of Conduct, and a general obligation to treat others in a respectful manner.

3.     The OCMHA has zero tolerance for bullying or harassment in any form.

4.     Participants acknowledge that hockey is a sport requiring physical exertion in which injuries, including serious injuries on rare occasions, may occur.  Participants agree to accept the risks associated with participating in the sport.

5.     All participants must review the provincial Concussion Awareness Resources each year. By registering with the OCMHA, you confirm that you have reviewed the resources with all participants and will abide by the HEO Concussion Code of Conduct.

6.     Participation in OCMHA programs is subject to the rules, bylaws and policies that are put in place or adopted by the OCMHA from time to time.  To the extent that an individual violates a rule, by-law, policy, or a provision of the Code of Conduct, the OCMHA may impose disciplinary measures in consideration of the seriousness of the violation, including suspension from attendance at OCMHA programs.

7.     The OCMHA collects certain personal information about participants as needed to administer its programs.  The information collected is protected and treated in a confidential manner and is only accessible to those OCMHA volunteers who have a need to know the information to administer the program.  It is not used for any other purpose.
